Actor Alec Baldwin is reported to be getting tantric with his new girlfriend and yoga teacher, Hilaria Thomas.
29-year-old yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas teaches at YogaVida in New York, where she teaches students how to heighten sexual pleasure by toning their bodies. Gossipy friends are telling the rumor rags that she's hoping her yogic techniques will get 53 year old TV star to propose marriage. However, all she's said to reporters is "no comment".
Baldwin's views on yoga are revealed in a 2006 interview for Starpulse: “All my friends are yoga people, my brother Billy was heavy into yoga – it helped him. So I took yoga this summer. I took what I call ‘middle-aged-white-guy yoga.’ They have some Indian name for that, I don’t know what it is. I find that yoga instructors have become the new nanny’s – the woman you leave your wife for – your yoga instructor."
When asked if he'd like to run for Mayor of New York on The Late Show, Baldwin replied rhetorically, "Would I rather be handcuffed to the emergency command center in Maspeth during a hurricane, holding down the fort and making sure all the plows are working... or would I rather spend some of that '30 Rock' money traveling the world with my girlfriend?"
Alec was married previously to actress Kim Basinger from 1993 to 2001 and they have a 15-year-old daughter named Ireland together. Hopefully his newfound tantric cool will help repair the stormy relationship between Baldwin and his daughter, immortalized in a painfully frustrated and angry voicemail he left for an 11 year old.
