Ecstatic Bellydance is an ancient and modern sacred dance which awakens the bodies natural wisdom and ecstasy. It is a meditative and expressive form of bellydance that integrates many years of study in dance, yoga, and tantra. We will begin with transformational yoga practice and go through basic bellydance repertoire including isolations, taxim, and shimmies based on sacred geometric patterns and symbols. Then integrating these movements, we will journey through the body combining movement with breath, sound, and intention to create an embodied ecstatic experience. Afterwards we will have time to socialize and enjoy raw food snacks while DJ Shakti Bliss spins some down temps beats for us.

Amber weaves her unique background and expertise in traditional dance forms like bellydance with tantric, ecstatic, and shamanic practices. She has been inspired by ecstatic dance journeys with Gabrielle Roth's five rhythms work as well as Ipsalu Tantra and Kashmiri Shiva Dance. Dance has always been Amber's personal practice for accessing ecstasy and union with the universe. Come learn, play, and awaken your natural ecstasy!
