... AND THE MAYAN CALENDAR, BUT WERE AFRAID TO ASK?

Nostradamus predicted that the sun of our solar system would move into conjunction with the center of the universe come 12/21/2012.  He predicted that when that happened there would be a gravitational pull (from what scientists now know is a black hole at the galaxy's center) which had not been directly exposed to earth before that date and time.  Modern astronomers agree with his calculations.  As for the effect?  Could the melting glaciers at the poles happening right now be indicative of what is coming?  Could the magnetic effect of the gravitational pull make our earth shift on it's axis, becoming unstable, wobbling like a gyroscope which has lost it's spin point until it happens upon the new point creating stability for orbit's new path around the sun?

Theosophists in the 1880s went so far as to say a new planet would be discovered at this time that they wanted to name Vulcan.  But how were the ancient Mayans and Aztecs able to create a calendar so accurate as to for tell of this event eons ago?
