Tantra Grrrls!™ is comic book series for the print, web and digital handheld markets. This unique series is a first of its kind, pushing the boundaries of traditional comic books by offering readers a taste of the tantric arts within a humorous, edgy, urban chic storyline. The comic book will also deal with sensitive issues such as safe sex, date rape, bisexuality, polyamory and "rainbow families" in a sensitive and subtle way. It is suitable for reading by mature teenagers.

Tantra Grrrls! tells the story of four young women who share a flat in the trendy, multicultural Mission District in San Francisco. Secretly, they're the Tantra Grrrls, who channel the powers Parvati, Shakti, Lakshmi and Kali – four ancient Hindu goddesses, and are able to control earth, wind, water and fire. By combining their powers, they can create a positive force of love energy that melts their opponents into love puddles. In the kickoff issue, the Tantra Grrrls are challenged by the League of Evil PUA's (i.e., "pick up artists"), who try to manipulate women. They immediately dispatch Enigma, the leader of the League, but are stymied by Colt, the charismatic second in command who uses a more extensive strategy to rob the Tantra Grrrls of their powers.

The Tantra Grrrls motto: "Saving the world is easy, now relationships... boy, those are hard."

The heroines of this comic book are loosely based on four real life dakinis – Amber St. Germain, Ariel White, Claire Rumore and Sharon Bailey, who are pictured above. You can watch a short video of the grrrls at Comic-Con here:
