Recently, two thousand American wives between the ages of 18 and 49 were surveyed by iVillage about their sex lives. In "The State of Married Sex 2010", researchers discovered that the average frequency for sex, for the representative population of married women, the most popular answer across the board was "one to three times a month" (23 percent of women ages 18 to 49), although a bimodal secondary peak was detected with younger women - 21 percent said they have sex more than 10 times monthly. And on average, nine percent didn’t have sex at all.
